Vikings DE Allen To Host Country Warriors Concert
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen hosts a country music concert Friday to raise money for his Homes 4 Wounded Warriors nonprofit.
Allen's first Country Warriors Concert begins at 9 p.m. at the Fine Line Music Cafe in downtown Minneapolis. Singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson, Grammy-nominated songwriter Keith Anderson and local artist Chris Jessen are the featured performers.
Johnson recently released a 25-song double-CD called "The Guitar Song" that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.
Allen's Homes 4 Wounded Warriors raises money to build or modify homes of severely injured U.S. military veterans, so the homes are handicap-accessible.
Doors open at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $68 and are available on www.ticketmaster.com.
