Mpls. Police Seek Suspect In Senior Citizen Robberies
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who they say is a person of interest in two recent robberies of senior citizens in south Minneapolis.
The first incident occurred on Nov. 27 just before 6 p.m. on the 3000 block of 45th Avenue South. Police say an 85-year-old woman was getting out of her car when a man grabbed her from behind, threw her to the ground, and ripped the purse of her shoulder. She was not injured.
The second incident occurred on Nov. 29 just after 9 p.m. on the 4700 block of East 45th Street. Police say a 66-year-old woman was confronted by a man with a rifle or shotgun, who demanded her purse and fled on foot.
