Survey: Minnesotans Think Emmer Should Concede

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- More than two-thirds of 949 Minnesotans surveyed over the weekend believe Republican Tom Emmer should concede the governor's race.
"Fewer than half of Republicans thought that Emmer was the rightful winner or that he should keep on fighting this battle," said Tom Jensen, director of Public Policy Polling, a national polling firm based in Raleigh, N.C.
Jensen notes that his organization did a similar poll during the Franken-Coleman U.S. Senate recount two years ago, with different results.
"Folks were much more charitable towards Coleman having a protracted fight," he said.
Beginning Wednesday, the State Canvassing Board will review challenged ballots in the Dayton-Emmer race with plans to certify a winner on Tuesday, Dec. 14.
