2 Charged After Boy Left In Wis. Day Care Van

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Charges have been filed against a Milwaukee day care van driver and his assistant after a 5-year-old boy was left alone inside the van for at least seven hours.

Forty-seven-year-old Glenn Gordon and 23-year-old Michelle Muldrew, both of Milwaukee, are each charged with leaving a child unattended in a child care vehicle.

The complaint says Gordon was driving the van that picked up the boy from school on Nov. 16 and took him and other children to the day care. But the boy fell asleep in the van and never went inside.

The boy's mother discovered he was missing when she returned home from work around midnight.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Gordon and Muldrew are to appear in court Dec. 21. Court records do not list attorneys for either.
