Mpls., St. Paul Schools Cancel Classes

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Students attending public schools in Minneapolis and St. Paul are getting another day off of school Tuesday following Saturday's blizzard that made travel so difficult, according to spokespersons from each city.

Classes and all other activities had been canceled Monday because of snow and cold. Both cities gave the same reasons for this closure, and said again all classes and activities are canceled. However, a meeting of the Minneapolis Board of Education will continue as planned.

Driving continues to be difficult on many side streets in both cities and WCCO-TV Meteorologist Chris Shaffer forecasts a high of 8 degrees Tuesday. An inch or two of more snow is also expected Wednesday, though temperatures will be warmer.
