MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Dozens of people were forced out into the cold overnight because of a fire in Golden Valley, Minn.
It happened at the Brookview Condominiums around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
A small fire started inside one of the units in the building located on 9141 Olson Memorial Hwy.
Crews were able to contain the fire to that one unit, but there was smoke damage throughout the building.
All 18 units were evacuated and residents were put on a bus.
Some went to stay with friends and family and others were helped by the Red Cross and put up in a hotel.
Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire and trying to decide when people can return to the building.
