SCOTT COUNTY (WCCO) – A 17-year-old girl from Jordan, Minn. is in critical condition after a crash involving three vehicles on Tuesday morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
According to the Patrol, the girl, identified as Kaitlin Koestler, was traveling westbound on Highway 282 when she was T-boned by a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 169. The patrol says Koestler had a green light when she entered the intersection and the other car did not.
Koeslter’s car was pushed into a third vehicle, which was facing southbound and waiting at a red light on Highway 169.
The second vehicle’s occupants both sustained non-life threatening injuries. Authorities identified the driver as 23-year-old Maxamud Dahir of Edina and the passenger as 23-year-old Mohamed Adan of an unknown city.
The condition of the driver of the third vehicle, 35-year-old Joshua Friendshuh of Belle Plaine, is unknown.
According to the incident report, the road conditions were wet at the time, but it is unknown if it was a factor in the crash.
