MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — After another round of snow hits the Twin Cities, many people are wondering where they’re putting it all.
“We are having to do some extraordinary actual removal,” said Mike Kennedy, director of transportation, maintenance and repair for the City of Minneapolis. “(That’s) where we pick it up, put it in the truck and haul it away. Very expensive, very time consuming.”
Kennedy says they are looking for alternative sites because the stock pile dump in Minneapolis is filling up fast. He said they need to find a new place to store the snow that is just a short haul away.
“The less you have to haul, the less distance you have to go, the more efficient and cost effective you can be,” said Kennedy.
