CHASKA, Minn. (WCCO) — Police say a woman was intoxicated when she was driving north on Pine Street and nearly struck a police squad.
The Chaska Police officer was exiting the station garage when and was forced to stop quickly in order to avoid a collision with the woman, who was driving without her headlights on after dark.
The officer pulled the woman over after the near-collision and said she failed field sobriety tests. The woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
She has a prior DWI conviction, which means consuming alcohol is a violation of her restricted license. She was charged with third-degree DWI and violation of a driver’s license restriction.
