Teen Convicted In Golden Valley Homicide

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. (WCCO) — A 17-year-old man was found guilty in court Monday for the homicide of James Teto Grant.

A Hennepin County judge convicted Emmanuel Garmodhen Myles of two counts of second-degree murder in the beating death of Grant.

A sentencing date has been set for Jan. 21.

Myles and two others were arrested after Grant’s body was found in Theodore Wirth Park on July 18. An investigation revealed the men allegedly beat Grant to death during a gang initiation.

According to the criminal complaint, the men tried to bury Grant’s body but after that was unsuccessful, they stole a car battery, tied it to his leg and attempted to submerge the body in the pond at Wirth Park.

His body was discovered by a kayaker about a week later.

If you “rehab the perp” types can’t see the need for CAPITAL PUNISHMENT after the last year I swear you are blind and nuts yourselves.
These perps deserve DEATH. Immediate execution. Hang ’em or fry ’em but remember the “Do onto others as …. “.
This buzzard needs to die …. fact. DEATH

  2. Let there be piece on Earth says:

This is so traggic! When we will stop gang violence? It starts in the home. But the media does not help. Its so cool to be a gangsta’. I pray for both families.

  3. Ignorance must be bliss says:

It is not “cool” to be gangsta but people still want to. If these people want to live this way they should die this way. As the saying goes “If you live by the gun, you die by the gun”.

  4. Dee Dee says:

This gang violence is ridiculous. Awful home life, too much negative media and a society that tells young men- especially in the black community that going to jail and keeping your mouth shut is more important than getting an edcuation and using your positive influence to help someone else to “get out” and get a better life.. A young man is dead over ignorance. I hope his death wasn’t in vain and that someone in both families will use it to “do better”
