Man Fires Shots, Robs Taco Bell In St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) — A man with a gun robbed a Taco Bell in St. Paul Monday evening.

The robbery happened at the Taco Bell on the 1400 block of White Bear Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Police say the robber is described as a 6-foot-tall white man with a thin build, wearing all black and a face mask.

The man walked in with a gun and demanded cash. Police said the man then fired off three shots. No one was hurt.

A Taco Bell employee said they have been warned that other Taco Bell locations have been robbed this month.

The robber got away with about $75.

Taco Bell issued the following statement after the incident: “At Taco Bell, our primary concern is the safety of our employees and customers so we’re thankful that no one was hurt. Our franchisee appreciates the swift action of the police and is fully cooperating as they investigate.”

  2. JamieinMN says:

Chill, it’s right on the border, shush. It could be half in St Paul, half in Maplewood.

    1. JPD says:

It is not half on the border, it is in St. Paul. There is nothing wrong with getting a simple story correct. I agree with JP

      1. JamieinMN says:

Lol JPD agrees with JP…You agree with yourself? Just because GOOGLE says it’s in St Paul, does not mean it’s IN St Paul.

  3. JPD says:

Google maps is a great search tool WCCO!

  4. Bob says:

How about a description of the guy ???

  5. Monica says:

It was in St. Paul. Not Maplewood. Maybe the newscasters should invest in one of the maps with boundries like the cab companies do so next time actually know WHER the crime they are reporting happened, lol

  6. JPD not JP says:

JaimeinMN you are an absolute fool! How ironic that I have the same first two initials as someone else…I bet that has NEVER happened before! I am not JP and I was using GOOGLE as an example. Find any map and look it up that address is south of Larpenteur Ave which is the border of Saint Paul and Maplewood. Would you like to add any more intelligent feedback? I would encourage you to know what you are talking about before you open that flap of yours.

      Hmmmm,
“Find any map and look it up that address is south of Larpenteur Ave which is the border of Saint Paul and Maplewood.” Didn’t you say…
      “JPD
It is not half on the border, it is in St. Paul. ”

      I am so intelligent!

  8. Shelley says:

8 out of 10 comments on whether it’s north or south of Larpenteur,,,,Geez, you guys have way too much time on your hands. Does it matter to you personally? Much bigger issues to quibble about these days.

    1. JamieinMN says:

Yup, MYOB. Funny you’re quibbling about quibblers.

  9. Chris says:

I drove past the block at 6:20 and there were a ton of cop cars so either the time in the story is wrong or something else happened, same place earlier same night.
