St. Cloud St. Beats Cornell 4-3

ESTERO, Fla. (AP) -- Cam Reid's goal at 2:21 of overtime lifted St. Cloud State to a 4-3 win over Cornell Wednesday in the first round of the Florida College Classic men's college hockey tournament.

It was the second goal of the game and fifth goal of the season for Reid, whose tally in the second period helped the Huskies (6-11-2) rally from a three-goal deficit. It was St. Cloud State's first win in five tries at the tournament and avenged a 3-2 loss to Cornell in 2008.

Mike Devlin, Mathieu Brisson and Jordan Kary staked Cornell (4-7-1) to a 3-0 lead late in the second period.

David Eddy sent the game into overtime with a goal at 12:31 of the third period.

Mike Lee made 22 saves for St. Cloud State, while Mike Garman had 26 stops for Cornell.
