Weather Blog: Status Quo

By Chris Shaffer, WCCO-TV

The models have been very consistent with our approaching storm. Wednesday will be a warm day with increasing clouds and high in the mid-30s. Late in the night we get the first taste of the storm. There could be a brief window of freezing drizzle before it transitions over to all rain. It will remain liquid into Friday.

There will be a brief drying period before the backside of the storm brings in colder air and some light snow. Now if you are heading to North Dakota, prepare for snow totals that could exceed a foot. The wind will also be blowing making travel very difficult.

As for the weekend, we dry out with highs only in the low teens.
