Armed Robbery At St. Paul Convenience Store

ST. PAUL (WCCO) -- Police in St. Paul are looking into another armed robbery, just days after a fast food restaurant was similarly held up.

On Wednesday night, a Super USA convenience store on 97 Annapolis St. was held up by a man wearing a dark blue puffy jacket and a blue face mask.

An employee told the man he could not wear the face mask inside the store and the man pulled out a gun, shot it once and demanded money.

Authorities said the gunman fired off two more  rounds in the store after the employee hesitated for a moment. He left the store with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was struck by the bullets.

The robber is described as a man approximately 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10 wearing a large blue puffy hooded jacket with a small red emblem on the front left side, a blue face mask, gloves, jeans, black boots and white socks.

Earlier this week, a Taco Bell on the east side was held up in similar fashion.

Police aren't sure if the two armed robberies are related at this point.
