Minneapolis FBI Investigates Possible Abduction

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minneapolis FBI is investigating a possible abduction of a teenage girl that occurred Thursday afternoon.

Authorities say the victim was at a bus stop around 12:48 p.m. on Nicollet Avenue South, between 26th and 27th streets, in Minneapolis. They say four or five men in a vehicle, approximately 19 to 21 years old, were parked nearby and allegedly asked the girl to come with them.

The girl told them no, as she was on her way to work, but one of the young men allegedly grabbed her and forced her into the vehicle.

The Minneapolis FBI says the possible victim told a nearby witness to call 911. The vehicle was last seen heading north on Nicollet Avenue South.

The victim is described as a black girl, approximately 16 years old, wearing blue jeans, a longer, waist-length tan jacket, pink hooded sweatshirt and black leather knee-high boots. The vehicle is described as a tan or gold 1990s Chevrolet Suburban, with dark tinted windows, in good condition.

The license plate began with the numbers 078, but it is not known where the plates were registered.
