CHICAGO (AP) — Michael Dorr had two goals and an assist as Minnesota State, Mankato beat Brown 7-3 Sunday in the championship game of the Shillelagh men’s college hockey tournament.

Dorr had one of the Mavericks’ four second-period goals and added another goal in the three-goal third period. Six different players scored for the Mavericks (8-8-4), who had a 31-27 advantage in shots on goal.

Trailing 1-0 after one period, the Mavericks went up 4-2 heading into the final period. Mike Louwerse, Dorr, Eriah Hayes and Kurt Davis scored goals. Davis’ tally came with 10 seconds left in the period.

Brown (4-4-4) got goals from Jake Goldberg, Garnet Hathaway and Jack Maclellan.

Brown goalie Mike Clemente and MSUM goalie Phil Cook made 24 saves apiece.
