Teen On The Lam Turns Self In

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- One of teenagers accused in several sexual assaults in Powderhorn Park last November has turned himself in after running away last week.

The 15-year-old suspect turned himself into the Juvenile Detention Center last night at 10:45 p.m., according to Hennepin County Public Affairs.

The suspect had been ordered to undergo electronic home monitoring while living with his grandmother, but cut off his ankle bracelet monitor on Wednesday and fled.

The suspect and three other juvenile males have been charged in connection with the Nov. 24 incidents.

In one, a mother was assaulted at Powderhorn Park while out cross-country skiing with her children. Shortly thereafter, an 18-year-old woman and 16-year-old girl were attacked in a nearby garage. A group of boys pulled a gun on them, ordered them to take off their clothes and took turns sexually assaulting them.
