Egg Producer Adding Jobs In Southern Minn.

GAYLORD, Minn. (AP) -- A southern Minnesota food processor is expanding and adding jobs.

Michael Foods produces egg and potato products and recently spent nearly $1.5 million for a building and 13 acres in Gaylord. City officials tell The Journal of New Ulm that the company plans to add a production line and an unspecified number of jobs.

Michael Foods has manufacturing plants in North America, Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East. The equity firm, GS Capital Partners bought the company in June 2010 for $1.7 billion.
