All Evacuees Return Home After Edina Gas Leak

EDINA (WCCO) -- Crews have identified and are repairing a natural gas leak that prompted evacuations of homes in an Edina neighborhood Thursday afternoon, according to Edina city officials.

All evacuees were allowed to return home shortly after 9 p.m.

According to city officials, an unknown source of natural gas was leaking into an underground telephone conduit, but it doesn't seem to be entering homes.

CenterPoint officials will likely be working in the neighborhood throughout the night.
