Fridays With Dayton? Gov. Radio Show Up In Air

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- It's Friday, which for many of the last 12 years has meant an hour of statewide radio hosted by Minnesota's governor.

New Gov. Mark Dayton hasn't worked out an arrangement yet to carry on the radio show tradition started by Jesse Ventura in 1999.

Dayton spokeswoman Katharine Tinucci says the governor plans to have a show and his staff is looking into the details. The governor's office would have to put a contract out for bid to allow stations to compete for the rights.

WCCO-AM was the flagship carrier of the shows for Ventura and Tim Pawlenty during their time as governor.
