Mama V’s Durkee’s French Onion Chicken

Frank Vascellaro and his mother Rosalie head to the kitchen to make some Durkee’s French Onion Chicken. Check out the recipe below.


4-6 chicken breasts
2- small cans or 1 large can of Durkee’s French Onions
1-stick butter
2-teaspoons Flour


Clean and rinse chicken breasts.

Crush French onions in bag or under some waxed paper and place crushed onions in a bowl. Add flour to bowl of crushed onions.

Scramble egg in small bowl and add tablespoon of water to create egg wash.

Dredge chicken breast in egg wash and place in bowl of onions. Flip breast to thoroughly cover with onion mixture and place on a baking sheet.

Drizzle chicken with melted butter.

Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until cooked.

    It’s easy enough to do. Just open your word pad or similar program. Then drag your cursor over the recipe to highlight it. Then right click and COPY, then go back to your word bad and right click PASTE. If there’s still something on there you don’t want to print, just delete that part. Then of course there’s always the old-fashined way….paper and pencil.

    Great way to use the word processor. Now I have a great recipe as well as the picture in my cookbook. Also printed a copy for the bookself cookbook.

    We tried this tonight. Cut the recipe in half for 3 Breast (20 oz pkg) and one
    can of onions. Worked Great — Delicious with a Baked Potato and Salad!

    i have tried some of the recipes and they are wonderful. I think MAMA V should put out a cook book I would sure buy it
