Man Pleads Guilty To July 4th Homicide

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 21-year-old man pleaded guilty Monday to the July 4 homicide that killed a 16-year-old.

The Hennepin County Attorney’s Office charged two men in the fatal shooting — Ryan Eugene Loyd, who pleaded guilty Monday, and Kenneth Lee Johnson, 17.

Anthony Titus, 16, was shot and killed near 29th and North Freemont around 8:45 p.m. on Independence Day. The teen was said to have been walking to a graduation party.

Loyd and Johnson were charged with murder for the benefit of a criminal gang.

Titus died on the scene of a single gunshot wound.

Loyd and Johnson are in custody at the Hennepin County Jail.

I am not for the death penalty, the death penalty is the easy, humane way of dying, they don’t feel a thing, just fall asleep and never wake up, kinda like putting a dog to sleep, the ultimate way of dying, thats how I would like to die, how about you?
I think rotting away in prison for the rest of your life is a much better form of punishment and then if they want to kill themselves in prison, soo be it.

So you would rather pay the fee’s associated with the long term housing for this guy? Probably somewhere in the neighborhood of $500,000 for a life without parole sentence. I think my taxpayer $ could go to something more useful, say Education! Save us all a dime & execute these 2 guys.

  3. Ship them all says:

Send them all to Alaska and let Sara take care of them

      Ship them all
Love the idea except then she would probably work them into some kind of a new show and get more attention than she already does. The American way I guess, idiots are immortalized in fame.
