Wyoming Police Investigate Armed Robbery

WYOMING, Minn. (WCCO) -- Wyoming Police are searching for a man wanted in an armed robbery Sunday evening where a shot was fired at a gas station employee.

Authorities say the man was wearing a bandana over his head and a ski mask when he robbed the Holiday Station around 6:26 p.m. Sunday near Wyoming.

The man was carrying a black .40 pistol, which he fired once inside the store while demanding the clerk give him all the money in the gas station.

He is described as approximately 5-foot-10, with a medium complexion, wearing a black leather jacket, light colored pants, hiking boots, a blue and white bandana and brown gloves with red wrist bands.

He was given an undisclosed amount of money and six to seven cartons of Marlboro Smoothes cigarettes stamped with "Holiday 294" in red ink on the box.

The man fled the area on foot. Police say he is considered to be armed and possibly dangerous, given his brazen act of violence having fired a gun at the store clerk.

The department said they have located several witnesses, but are still investigating.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery should contact the Wyoming Police Department at 651-462-0577 or submit information on the website through the online anonymous tip link at www.wyomingmn.org.
