3 Arrested For Alleged Aggravated Assault In St. Paul

ST. PAUL (WCCO) — St. Paul Police arrested three people in connection with an aggravated assault of a 22-year-old man, who is currently listed in critical condition.

Robert Deon Coleman, 28, Andrew Deonte Higgins, 23, and Surina Marine Pope, 23, were arrested for the assault of LeRoy Barnes, which police believe was not a random incident.

St. Paul Police were called to an apartment building around 7:30 p.m. on the 1300 block of Westminster Street, on a report that a person was injured and lying in the apartment’s parking lot.

Upon arrival, officers found medics working on Barnes, who was unconscious and had suffered multiple injuries.

Investigators say Barnes was involved in a confrontation before the assault but police are unclear as to what led to the argument.

The investigation will continue.

Police are asking that anyone with information contact the St. Paul Police Department at (651) 291-1111.

Deon and Deonte you can take that black comment to the bank. If our politicians would get off their back sides and cut the welfare in half these bums would be home resting to go to WORK (a foreign concept to them) the next day instead of roaming the streets doing , brutal, reckless, criminal and irresponsible behavior!

I really wish people would stop acting like wild animals. It doesn’t accomplish a thing and just hurts us all at the end of the day.

It didn’t hurt me a bit Mary.

I agree with you Mary, but the only difference is it directly affects my family because Leroy happens to be my nephew and my family loves him very much. Our heart bleeds inside due to such a cruel act of violence. Leroy brings much joy to our family and we are believing God that he will restore him back 100 fold. I am praying that God would bring to swift justice the person(s) responsible for such brutal act. Vengence is mine said the Lord and he will repay. Every tongue that rise against Leroy shall be comdemned.
