Eagan Baby Born At 1:11 A.M. On 1/11/11

EAGAN (WCCO) -- An interesting recurrence of numbers on Tuesday is really special for one Eagan couple. They gave birth to a baby girl at exactly 1:11 a.m. on Jan. 11, 2011. What are the odds?

Amy Zeller and Codjo Mensah say the numbers thing didn't even occur to them when it came to delivering their baby.

"She was like, 'it's going to be 1:11' and sure enough, what was it? Five minutes afterwards, the doctor came in and was like,' the nurses are pulling, we got six minutes,'" said Zeller.

At exactly at 1:11 Tuesday morning, Amy delivered baby Flora at United Hospital. She says she wasn't even trying to make the numbers.

"I didn't hold back, didn't switch the clock. It was perfect timing," she said.

You might say Baby Flora has a thing for one's and elevens. Can you guess how much she weighed?

"Nine pounds, 11 ounces,"  Zeller said, "1/11/11 at 1:11 a.m. Can't get any cooler than that."

There are special meanings behind the numbers. Greek mathematician Pythagoras came up with the idea that we can figure out anything with numbers. He's the guy behind famed "Pythagorean Theorem."

"In all those ancient cultures there was a name given at birth, and a date of birth and what he did was measure that energy," said Wes Hamilton, a Master Numerologist.

"January is always new beginnings. The 11th is about listening to our intuition. 2011 is about building and develop," added Hamilton. "That baby will be very sensitive and aware."
