Mom Goes Into Labor, Dad Goes Into Ambulance

CHASKA, Minn. (WCCO) -- When officers and paramedics responded to a medical call for a pregnant woman who was in labor, the last thing they expected was to need space in the ambulance for her husband.

Officers say they arrived to a residence in Chaska, Minn., where the woman and her husband were inside the bathroom of the home. Paramedics learned the woman's water had just broke and she needed to be transferred to a hospital.

The soon-to-be mother was doing well and extremely calm, according to officers. She calmly changed into a different pair of clothes and got into the ambulance on her own.

Her husband, however, was not doing quite so well. He told paramedics he was becoming dizzy and light-headed and felt like he was going to faint, after seeing his wife's water break.

The paramedics had to assist the man into the ambulance, where his wife was already waiting.

Both received medical attention in the ambulance and were transported to a hospital.
