Winning Hot Lotto Ticket Not Yet Turned In

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — The winning $16.5 million Hot Lotto ticket has yet to be turned in.

Iowa Lottery officials say the ticket was sold at a Des Moines Quik Trip store for the Dec. 29 contest.

It’s the third-largest prize ever offered in the game. The jackpot has been won six times before.

The six numbers: 3, 12, 16, 26, 33 and Hot Ball 11.

The Des Moines Register says the winner has a year to come forward. Otherwise, the money is forfeited.

Hot Lotto is played in the District of Columbia, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Vermont and West Virginia.

The jackpots start at $1 million and rise until won.
