MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It has snowed on 15 of our 17 January days. We take a break from the snow for a few days, but focus on that other January staple — the cold.

It won’t be brutally cold this week, but it will be the coldest outbreak for us so far this season.

Expect highs only in the single digits all week long with extra cold starts Wednesday morning (-8 in the metro) and Friday morning (-13 in the metro). It will be colder the farther north you go.

The only chance of snow appears to be later on Friday, but even that will be light. Bundle up!
