2 Arrested In Armed Robbery In North St. Paul

NORTH ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) -- North St. Paul Police arrested two men Wednesday, who are accused of committing an armed robbery at Silver Lake Market.

Police responded to Silver Lake Market, at 2618 17th Ave., around 1:21 p.m. Wednesday on a report that two men took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. One of the men also allegedly pointed a silver and black handgun at the clerk.

The men were described as wearing bandanas and dark clothing. Both fled the scene on foot.

Police received a report of a stolen vehicle near Silver Lake Market that was taken from the driveway of a residence. The vehicle had been left unoccupied and unlocked, with the engine running to warm it up.

Police located the stolen vehicle at the 29 Pines Mobile Home Park in Oakdale. Both suspects were taken into custody and an undisclosed amount of cash, a handgun and other items were recovered.

The men were transported to the Ramsey County Juvenile Detention Center where they remain in custody.
