Graduation Could Be Delayed For Some At Mpls. High School

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Some high school students in Minneapolis may not graduate on time because their teachers weren't licensed to teach some of the subject matter.

Broadway High School is a teen and pregnant parenting program within North High School.

The Star Tribune reports that some students were given credit for math and science, just for taking a culinary arts class.

The school has now decided not to let those credits count toward graduation, but they will count as electives.

In all, four employees are on paid leave while the district tries to sort it all out.
