Nienstedt To Lead Group To National March For Life

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Archbishop John Nienstedt of the Catholic Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis will lead a group of several hundred students and others to participate in this weekend's March for Life protest in Washington on the anniversary of the 1973 Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion.

Nienstedt and a group of 274 students and young adults, parents, priests and seminarians will leave by bus Friday for Monday's march from the U.S. Capitol Mall to the Supreme Court. A spokesman for the archdiocese says it's the first time a local archbishop will lead a Catholic delegation to the national march.

The local Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life is holding its own annual march and rally at the State Capitol this Saturday to protest Roe vs. Wade.
