Burglary Alert Issued For Columbia Heights Neighborhood

COLUMBIA HEIGHTS (WCCO) — Police have issued a residential burglary alert for a Columbia Heights neighborhood after increased burglaries.

Columbia Heights Police say the burglaries have typically been between the hours of 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Items that have been taken include video game consoles, flat screen TVs, jewelry, tools and other miscellaneous electronics.

The areas affected include the 4100 block of Jefferson Street, the 44200 block of Jefferson Street and the 3700-3900 blocks of Van Buren Street.

Those who witness any suspicious activity are asked to contact the Columbia Heights Police Department at 763-427-1212.

    Columbia Heights city limits doesn’t include the 44000th block. Please fix your mistake. I will assume you meant “4200 block of Jefferson Street”. On a side note: both of these locations are only couple blocks from our brand new fancy “Columbia Heights Public Safety Center” (Police Station). Just Sayin’.
