Dayton: Export Push Coming To Minn. In February

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Gov. Mark Dayton says an export push will bring top officials from President Barack Obama's administration to Minnesota next month.

Dayton's office and the National Export Initiative said Thursday that Minneapolis will be the first stop on a national tour promoting exports for small and medium-sized businesses.

Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk are expected for the Feb. 17 event. Dayton and Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak will also attend.

The campaign aims to help businesses boost exports.
