Minnesota Wins Over Wildcats, 63-58
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The University of Minnesota women's basketball team won over the Northwestern Wildcats, 63-58.
This brings their record up to 9-12, and 1-7 in the Big Ten Conference.
"I think we had almost forgotten how it feels to win a basketball game, but it feels really good," said head coach Pam Borton. "I really thought we found a combination of kids who were able to win. It was a great team effort, and we're happy to pick up that first conference win."

The win was possible in large part due to Sophomore forward Katie Loberg, who scored a career-high 21 points, and junior guard Kiara Buford, who netted 18 points and four steals.
