Minneapolis Police Arrest 3 In Clinton Avenue Homicide

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Three people have been arrested in the Jan. 21 murder of Stanley Curtis Rogers, according to police.

The Minneapolis Police Department Homicide Unit arrested a 16-year-old girl on Wednesday and a 17-year-old boy on Thursday. Both are being held at the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention Center.

On Friday morning, police arrested Ladell James Antone Johnson, 28, who is currently being held at the Hennepin County Jail.

All are being held for probable cause murder. Investigators say shortly before 10 p.m. on Jan. 21, officers responded to a report of shots fired near 36th Street East and Clinton Avenue South.

When officers arrived, Rogers was found inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead, which was determined to be a result of a homicide by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office.

The case will be presented to the Hennepin County Attorney's Office, for possible criminal charges.
