MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Timberwolves rookies Wes Johnson and Lazar Hayward are getting a crash course in waiting tables.
Johnson and Hayward will shadow servers at Seven Restaurant in downtown Minneapolis on Tuesday night from 6-7 p.m. It’s all in preparation for their jobs at the annual Taste of the Timberwolves charity event on Feb. 15.
Johnson and Hayward, among other Wolves representatives, will serve food from some of the highest-profile restaurants in the Twin Cities to those who attend the event. It’s all to help raise money for the Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation. The foundation supports programs that help young people in the Twin Cities.
The Taste of the Timberwolves has been held for the last 16 years.
