Sheriff IDs Body Found In Burning Car Near Fertile

FERTILE, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have identified the woman whose body was found in a burning car in western Minnesota last week.

Sixty-one-year-old Paulette Olson of rural Fertile was driving to work when her car got stuck in a snowbank on a county road.

Somehow her car caught on fire. Her body was found inside.

Norman County Sheriff Jeremy Thornton says a full autopsy is not complete, and Olson’s death remains under investigation. But he says it’s probably accidental.

How can you say “probably accidental” either it was or it wasn’t. Sorry for this family on their loss.

They need to investigate more THOROUGHLY before they can 100% confirm it.

  2. Mike Jacobson says:

What part of the story don’t you understand? That until the autopsy is completed it looks accidental?
