WILLMAR, Minn. (WCCO) -- A man is in a trauma center after both his legs were pinned underneath a railroad car in Willmar, Minn. Thursday morning, according to a Willmar Ambulance official.

Willmar Ambulance operations manager Brad Hanson says emergency crews responded at 8:52 a.m. to the report of a man pinned in between two rail cars.

The man was found with both legs pinned underneath the wheel of a Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) grain car, which weighs more than 110 tons, according to Hanson.

Emergency crews worked with other businesses to help free the man. A full surgical team from Rice Memorial Hospital also responded and worked with Willmar Ambulance paramedics to stabilize the man.

The man was freed at 10:53 a.m. and was transported by a helicopter to the trauma center.
