OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — John Faulkner stopped 33 shots and Nebraska-Omaha scored three times in the second period to beat St. Cloud State 3-0 Friday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
The Mavericks (15-10-2, 11-6-2) scored three times in 1:41 of the second period. Eric Olimb started the scoring spree at 3:22, followed by Brock Montpetit at 4:37 and Matt Ambroz at 5:03.
Olimb added an assist.
Faulkner had at least 10 saves in each period, with a high of 12 in the first.
Mike Lee made 26 saves for the Huskies (11-13-3, 7-10-2), who lost for the third straight time.
