Party Starts In Green Bay Hours Before Super Bowl

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- The party is officially on in Green Bay.

It's still hours until the Green Bay Packers take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl in Arlington, Texas. But Packers fans are already tailgating in front of Lambeau Field. They're drinking beer, grilling brats and tossing footballs in below-freezing temperatures.

The bars around the stadium are rocking too. Hundreds of people dressed in green and gold jammed the Stadium View Bar & Grill about a block from Lambeau Field. Every few seconds the crowd erupts in a cheer of "Go, Pack, go."

Twenty-three-year-old Brittany Heller of Brodhead showed up wearing a weightlifting belt emblazoned with "championship." She says it's a nod to Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers' signature touchdown celebration in which he mimics putting on a championship boxing belt.
