Authorities: Mpls. Bank Robber Connected To 2 Others

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A Minneapolis bank was robbed Thursday afternoon by a man who authorities believe robbed other banks recently in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

According to FBI, a lone masked man entered the United Educators Credit Union at 4111 Central Ave. NE at 1 p.m. He told a teller he was robbing her and that he did not want to shoot her — no weapon was observed.

The man left the bank after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash and a dye pack.

The man is described as a white man, 5-foot-10 and with a medium build. He wore a black wool dress coat, black ski mask with dark colored pants, hat and shoes.

The FBI believes the man is responsible for the US Bank robbery in St. Paul Wednesday as well as the Central Bank robbery last Friday in Minneapolis.
