Police Around Metro On Lookout For Serial Robber

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police across the metro are asking for the public's help in finding a man who they believe has robbed several fast food restaurants around the Twin Cities.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office, along with the Brooklyn Park, Bloomington, Golden Valley, Minneapolis, New Brighton, Richfield, St. Louis Park, and Plymouth police departments believe the same man is responsible for robbing several businesses at gunpoint.

Police said several similar robberies have happened in the last three weeks with most occurring in the evening hours. Just this past week, there were armed robberies in Golden Valley, Brooklyn Park, Minneapolis and Bloomington.

Officers think the same man is responsible for all of the crimes and said they have surveillance photos and video from the restaurants.

Police describe the man as being in his mid-20s between 5'04" to 5'10" tall. In the surveillance video he was wearing dark clothing, a hooded sweatshirt or a ski mark to hide his face. He was also armed with a handgun. Police did not say the race of the man.

One photo also shows the vehicle he left the scene in -- a white 1990's Chevy Suburban-like vehicle with graphics on the door panels.

Anyone with information about these cases is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 763-525-6210 or leave an anonymous tip at 1-888-988-TIPS.
