Woman Killed In Spring Valley Crash Identified

SPRING VALLEY, Minn. (WCCO) -- Officials have released the name of the person killed in crash with a plow truck Friday night.

Brooke Elliot, 18, of Riceville, Iowa was a passenger in a vehicle that collided with a MnDOT plow around 9:50 p.m. on Highway 63 in Spring Valley.

The Minnesota State Patrol said a 19-year-old man was driving a car southbound on Highway 63 when he clipped another car heading the same direction. The 19-year-olds vehicle went over the center line and collided with the plow.

Both the car and the plow ended up in the ditch. Elliot was riding in the vehicle that struck the plow and died at the scene.

The State Patrol is still investigating the crash.
