TRIMBELLE, Wis. (AP) – A western Wisconsin man is in improving condition after being run over by a tractor.

A hospital spokesman says 63-year-old Wayne Chilson of River Falls is in fair condition at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports Chilson was in serious condition Sunday after the accident.

Pierce County sheriff’s authorities say Chilson was driving a tractor in the town of Trimbelle when a low-hanging branch knocked him from the tractor and he was run over.

Chilson was airlifted to Regions.
