2 Schools To Open Wednesday After Asbestos Concerns

ST. LOUIS PARK (WCCO) — School is back in session in St. Louis Park Wednesday.

Crews found exposed asbestos in a section of a tile in the senior high Monday.

Wax is typically used to protect the tiles, but inspectors say salt tracked in from the outside wore down that protective wax.

School officials say the buildings are now safe.

That’s crazy that salt can wear down the protective wax! More about it here: http://www.weitzlux.com/asbestos-floor-tiles_1935445.html
