No Fish Caught At MN's 2nd Largest Ice Fishing Tournament
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Thousands of anglers turned out for Minnesota's second largest ice fishing tournament over the weekend, but apparently the fish didn't get the memo.
Not one of the 2,200 anglers at the Alexandria Ice Fishing Challenge at Lake Agnes caught a fish.
The tournament awards cash prizes up to $10,000 for the biggest fish caught.
The DNR said the lake was well-stocked and there was plenty of oxygen in the water.
Officials think low barometric pressure and the warm temperatures kept the fish from biting.
