Most Twins Games To Be Broadcast On FSN In 2011

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The Minnesota Twins say most of their televised games in 2011 will be carried by FOX Sports North, a cable network.

FSN and the Twins on Wednesday announced a 150-game telecast schedule for the coming season.

For the first time, the Twins’ exclusive television home will be FSN. The network will carry nearly every game not scheduled for national network TV.

Last season the Twins broadcast about 25 games on My29 and KSTC 45. This marks the first time they will not put local telecasts on network television. FSN begins regular season coverage April 1 with the Twins at Toronto.

Dick Bremer and Bert Blyleven, who was recently elected to the Hall of Fame, will continue to work the telecasts.

They just cost themselves my ticket purchases this season. Why bother going to occasional games when I can’t support them on TV the rest of the season…

Its called the radio, Bill. Just sayin…

just sayin radio is NOT the same as tv

  • Dave

I used to like to watch the Twins – those days are gone!

Kind of a crock, but I was planning on getting cable once the season started anyways. Sunday afternoons was my time to sit on my porch with a OTA TV antenna and enjoy the breeze.

Remember when the Twins were being considered for contraction and then threatening to leave if they didn’t get a new stadium. I recall Sid H. lamenting how the shut-ins, poor, and homebound would miss watching their beloved Twins on television. Well now they’ll have to fork over a big chunk of change to watch them. It’s sad. Sports is really getting to be for the rich and very rich only.

on behalf of all the concerned senior citizens, why is the score board so small. we that dont have large screen tvs cannot see the info. i am very upset. use to run accross the bottom of screen. thank you

Please change your score board for the Twins games. A great many of us have the older TV sets & not the new wide screens & the graphics are very hard to read this year compared to last year’s especially the center of the scoreboard. It’s very hard to read the outs, innings, etc. as it is smaller than the score itself. If you could make the whole box a little larger it would make watching the game a lot more enjoyable. There are quite a few of us in our southern Minnesota who have this problem viewing the score.
Please correct this problem & make your fans happy!!!
