Wild Players To Wear Pre-Game Camouflage Jerseys

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Wild players will wear custom-designed camouflage jerseys during warm-ups before Tuesday night’s game against the Edmonton Oilers at Xcel Energy Center.

The Minnesota National Guard is the presenting partner for the 7 p.m. game.

The autographed camouflage jerseys will be available in an online auction starting Wednesday on the community page of www.wild.com. Proceeds will benefit Defending The Blue Line, the Wild’s charity of the month for February. A group of National Guard soldiers created the non-profit organization to help families of all military branches with costs associated with hockey.

The auction runs through March 16.

Nothing says REDNECK then camouflage! They definitely know how to play to their fanbase. I can hear the dueling banjo’s playing now!

Seriously? Did you even READ the article? They’re wearing camo to honor the National Guard and support the charity that the NG soldiers created. As for fan base, hockey is quite possibly the LEAST redneck pro sport out there.

Everyone on the internet is now dumber for having been subjected to your idiotic comment. Doofus.

p.s. The apostrophe police have a warrant for you.

    The un-official REDNECK checklist….

AC/DC music heard at least once during a hockey game = CHECK
Lots of Polaris and Arctic Cat jackets at a game = CHECK
People that go crazy for fights = CHECK
Not able to find a beer not named Miller or Budweiser = CHECK
Missing teeth (hockey players) – CHECK
    Lots of Canadiens = CHECK

JB, go back to your village, it put out an APB for it’s idiot. Mikey is right, hockey is the least redneck sport out there.
