Woman Pleads Guilty To Prescription Drug-Related Murder

LITTLE FALLS (WCCO) -- A 56-year-old Browerville woman has pleaded guilty Tuesday to third-degree murder in connection to a prescription drug-related death, according to the Morrison County Attorney's Office.

According to authorities, Patricia Ann Taylor sold Fentanyl patches, a powerful pain reliever and a schedule II substance, to a 27-year-old Little Falls man.

The man, identified as Jason Ramsdell, died taking the drug on Feb. 12, 2010. An autopsy revealed his cause of death was because he took a lethal dose of the drug.

Taylor admitted to selling the patches to Ramsdell for $100 on the day of his death, authorities said.

Taylor's sentencing hearing has been set for April 25, 2011.
