Water Main Break Affects At Least 24 Chanhassen Homes

CHANHASSEN (WCCO) — A water main break in Chanhassen caused the sewer system to backup into at least 24 homes Wednesday night, according to city officials.

Chanhassen Public Works director Paul Oehme says the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. near the Chanhassen Hills and Highway 101 area.

A city engineer told WCCO-TV that cold weather coupled with a change in soil temperatures may be the cause of the main break.

    Well, good thing they just spent 10 million on a new public works building. They should be able to fix this in a jiffy! Lol. So what was it? A water main break? Sewer line break? Or both? Sewer and water are two different things ran in two different areas.

    @Scott: People still use ‘LOL’?
